A downloadable tool for Windows

I got tired of hunting for a USB drive or waiting on cloud uploads just to move a heavy project from my desktop to my laptop. Zaplo is a local-first transfer utility I built to bypass the internet entirely and move files at the actual speed of your router.

It integrates directly into Windows. Just right-click any file or massive folder and hit "Zap" to beam it to your other PC. I also added a shared clipboard, so you can copy a block of code or a screenshot on one machine and immediately paste it on the other. If you have directories that need to stay constantly mirrored, the SparkSync feature handles the background syncing automatically.

Under the hood, it’s built with Go and Wails. It doesn't rely on unencrypted protocols or third-party servers. Everything routes directly over HTTP3/QUIC with strict mTLS fingerprint pinning, meaning your data stays completely encrypted and never leaves your local network. It’s lightweight, sits quietly in your system tray, and just gets out of your way.

What it actually does:

Direct transfers: Send files or huge directories of any size (folders are zipped on the fly).

Shared clipboard: Copy text or an image on one PC and push it straight to the other's clipboard.

SparkSync: Link a folder on both machines to keep them automatically mirrored in the background.

Explorer integration: Adds "Zap File" and "Zap Folder" directly to your Windows right-click menu.

System tray: Sits quietly in the background so it's always ready to receive.

Fully LAN: Zero cloud servers, no accounts, and no file size limits.
